Its called correcting baseless claims and assertions... and usually you can almost guess the usual suspects...if I tell you that someone saying on here that their mother's income (actual claim), represents the wages in LA or that the majority of LA residents make $100,000 or more, or that LA makes what they think their 'buddy' makes... 

So, if you are in it for the long haul and your goal is passive cash flow, then you will be much better served, in my opinion and 15 years of investment experience in both types of markets, to stay put right where you are ... the only downside is you will not have the ego boost to brag to your buddies about how you own 1000 el cheapo units, but the 100 higher quality units you DO own will serve you much better.

Many of my tech buddies are doing the same as they think about their kids launching careers in NYC, so best to keep a few options open.

I had several buddies on the "automatic payment plan" through garnishment, for cars and rent arrears and child support (and one guy on alimony that took almost his whole paycheck).

I obviously don't need (or hardly even want) another stupid house, but a buddy needed help.
