There's a great documentary on HBO called San Francisco 2.0.http://www.hbo.com/documentaries/san-francisco-2-0It talks about how the tech companies are changing the landscape of neighborhoods in San Francisco and literally forcing out the locals because it's getting way too expensive for them to live in the neighborhood they grew up in.I appreciate all the responses!

Nudge is a company that grew too fast with red flag tactics and their roof fell in on them and I and my team was the ones that had to face the cost of their greed.

A bit about me: I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, but am currently living in Tokyo, Japan.

I know that Buffalo has cheap housing and since I grew up here,  I kinda know where people would and wouldn't wanna live.

I grew up in Lynchburg, VA around real estate sales and have personal experience with: purchasing, renting/leasing, and selling real estate.

I'm in Orange County too; however I invest in SFR property in the Inland Empire where I grew up.

Like Jim, the thought of investing in "rougher" neighborhoods intrigues me, especially because I grew up near 30th & greenfield ave (stereotyped by many as a "rough" area) in Milwaukee...and have had some of the nicest, most stand-up neighbors I could ask for.
