So, think of all the issues you had with the flip in state, all the times you had to meet with the contractor, the times you went to the jobsite and caught him doing crappy work or not there at all, the times you had to go to the Building department to sort out permits.....Now imagine not being in the same state to do all those things.

BTW, if you don't want your doors broken down, and if local law allows, give keys to the police and post a notice that the police and fire department have been given keys to the outer door, for safety's sake - and if law allows in your area, to the inner doors, too.

No big deal.The only expensive item you have is the sprinkler system, and you can go through the appeals process with your local building department to try to waive that requirement.
