i can speak for hamilton county ohio now..... if you go to the county auditors web site you will be able to search by street address, name etc...

That's a good place to start.I don't know of any free software either, but you can search this site as there are members that provide spreadsheets they use to do their analysis.I use a software called Landlord's Cashflow Analyzer.
