I'd imagine most of the horror stories you've heard about dealing with permits were people who didn't pull them at all or from people who didn't hire professionals to do the job correctly.

I have been learning by listening to podcasts, watching youtube videos, and reading books and blog posts (the BiggerPockets web site has good specific recommendations).

The main two things to get from a professional you might hire is:1. 

It's been great connecting with other investors and professionals in the area to share stories, trade notes and recommendations, and even find deals and partnerships.I post the event to the BP events section every month, but feel free to reach out with any questions. 

The thing is, in the small multi space you simply cannot afford management, and definitely not professional management. 

Probably someone who's planning to be there for this presentation can video record it and share.

I have done a bunch of reading and watching videos on it and feel like I'm pretty knowledgeable on it.

And the contacts I would make during these seminars would be absolutely invaluable.As for which seminar program to attend, there's only one hard-hitting, serious choice for committed professionals, but I can't say what it is here, or I might be accused to promoting a specific product or brand of seminars.

There was water damage from a pipe burst and some of the drywall and flooring has been removed by what the seller is calling a "professional company paid for by the insurance company".  

His videos are honestly why I passed my exam.
