This post is to help you prepare in what to do, and tips to where to place sensors, cameras, etc.I'm an Air Force Veteran, with service in Iraq and Afghanistan. 

The property is owned by Bank of America and has a fixer upper home in the front with a mobile home in the back of the property that has been rented for an unknown amount of time.Both a survey and title search have revealed that the mobile home is on the property and has been detitled and joined with the property.Has anyone has run into this type of scenario before and have any tips or advice to give?

We planned on slowly updating our new home (which still might be the best option) but have grown frustrated living in a home with carpeted bathrooms and 3 kids. 

The house hacking thing hasn't worked for me due to family/kids. 

Also, be careful with the poisons like @Dan K. mentioned; if tenants have pets or children it could be deadly; they mostly use pellets which look like candy (that kids could try to ingest) or treats.

I would love to get some feedback and tips from those of you out there with experiences in partnership in order for me to assess the viability of this project.
