I realize I'll need to look at zoning, put together a site plan, etc. to know exactly what's possible in terms of how many units can fit on the site.

We use Appfolio in our office and love it, and I know there are people out there who use Turbo Tenant as well, I actually met their CEO at a conference and he was extremely knowledgeable of the struggle in keeping track of it all.  

You want an accountant who can help you strategize and who is responsive when you want to know the consequences of the financial decisions you are making throughout the year.Good luck.

I can't speak to the return thresholds for development but it's safe to assume it's higher given the larger risk profile.That being said, it doesn't hurt to give it a try as you never know where those new relationships will take you.

These may be crazy or dumb ideas, but I don’t really know anything yet  I bought a house in 2020, but a lot has changed since then.

I know I could have gone into 1031 syndications, but 1. those don't seem to have as good returns as I'd want, and 2.

Rates are the driving factor on supply and demand and no one seems to know what type of event will have people sell with %3 mortgages.

I know some people that have property free and clear don't care if they lose it and only carry liabliity insurance to protect against accidents on the property, medical or legal bills, etc.Do I have no other recourse but to carry full coverage?
