A daughter (if not BOTH) to put in it come May 2025.20% of $550k for a family with 2 college kids is a ton.But looming college loan debt from their housing is worse!

She does not want to live in the house so we are trying to figure out a reasonable strategy for leveraging the house to buy a property that is in a more desirable location. 

I'd also do a quick check on any utilities that she's paying that remain with the house to make sure they are paid up.If you have a full month's deposit, even if she doesn't pay for the second half of May and part of June, hopefully she leaves the place in good condition and you can use the deposit for unpaid rent after she moves out.

It is growing quickly and the need for housing is high.  

-If we sell after year 2, do we claim 250k(yr 1) and 125k(yr 2 with half the house rented) for total deduction of 325k gain? 

Like the title says, I’m interested in buying back a house I used to own.

It will be great if I can remotely set up entry key code for open house or new tenenant.

The great deal, I had & lost, was for a house that had the opportunity to profit over $200,000!  

Houses are designed/built as rental hardened so minimal repair/maintencance for at least 15 years.

I don't think it is any risk of collapsing.The driveway is about 80 ft long (garage is at back of property and driveway runs down side of house) and is one of those with grass down the middle with slabs either side.
