BTW, Amex is the first major card that accepted me with 0 credit, I was a 19 y/o walking around with a Amex Gold card back then, that was a rarity back then.

Someone working on one of my rehabs somehow got a blank check of mine, forged my signature and either gave it to a friend who cashed it for $800, or cashed it with false identification.It was cashed on Friday.

The solution that I thought of is to have a good friend of mine who is interested investing with me be the one who gets pre-approved for the hard money loan but I don't know if 1) will that work and 2) how I could structure/arrange that so that we can move forward with him as my financial partner?
