Being able to keep an eye on my score makes the FICO no so important because I may be wrong, but I think that if my score is good and rising the FICO must be okay :)

My social group these days pretty much consists of Harley Owners Group people who are all succesful in what they do and don't need to network for more business or brag or talk shop or do anything but follow our official motto which is "Ride and Have Fun".And while that's our official motto, every year we raise thousands of dollars for worthy causes or individuals in need or we help deliver hundreds of Christmas presents to local kids and that doesn't even count showing up at nursing homes to play bingo or eat ice cream or roar kids around the parking lot at the Ronald McDonald house or, well, the list goes on.What a true blessing it is to be able to give back.So personally, when some cube-dweller figures I've got some kind of easy racket going, or some contractor I hired with a hand-shake rips me off with the final bill because he thinks I print money, or some unemployed carpenter I hired to help him out breaks into my storage shed and steals my stuff because he knows 'all landlords are wealthy', well, I just can't worry about what the people who don't matter to me think.

Good debt - Buy income producing property at today's low fixed rates, then let your tenants pay off your mortgages with the devalued dollars of the future....Yeah, I'm being basically doom and gloom but with some basic financial education and keeping your eyes and mind open there is still much success to be made no matter what happens to the U.S. of A and its economy.
Robert D. Adding 220v

so i own this older home built in 1959 here in california. i found a great rental candidate. i think we all know how hard it is to find decent people now a days. anyhow he needs 220v to do some carpentry work at home. he is willing to add or change to 220v all at his expense from start to finish. i have no idea what it entails. i recall when i lived at that home that i wanted to do the 220 deal. i see no harm in this but would like to get your opinion. i told him it needed to be done by an electrical contractor and per code. and also that it should not make any eye sores on the house. this is all talk at the moment as i still need to run his credit etc. need some advice. thanks in advance.

Conspiracy theory - folks that buy it for insurance want to take possession of it for the same reason that they don't want to invest in stocks - they want to be in control of something real and that can be traded privately and quickly if needed away from the prying eyes of government.
