I wish we could have kept our remodeling at $25,000 instead it spireled into $50,000 but it was  duplex and we had to do  2 kitchens and 2 baths and electrical and plumbing and trees were cut down for $2,600, and the backyard gad to be expanded so we old have private space for the tenants and a retaining wall and that ended up  another $5,000 and 2 ceilings came down and new radiators etc etc.

They accept lower margins (last I checked, they were at about 25% gross margins compared to 30-35% for competitors like Target and Dollar Tree) and then sell higher volumes to close the profit gap.Do you think Walmart is stupid for lowering their prices below their competitors and reducing their margins?

Require them to be responsible for mowing, snow removal, edging and weed wacking, cleaning out landscaping beds of leaves and weeds, trimming shrubs and trees in the spring and fall.

Using that figure, I can't replace one of my units for $15,000, and even one major mishap might eat up most of that figure - say a flooded room, or a tree limb falling.
