Most are bought by cash from a refinance, or a sale of a smaller one that's had its' value added to buy a bigger one to do the same.I suppose I could chart my units on a graph with time on one axis and units on another to see how they've grown over time.

That way you get some experience under your belt and then can slowly move up into bigger projects using your inheritance almost as a private lender that you pay back using the BRRRR strategy again then rinse and repeat.
