If you were wanting to get into vacation property, which I know nothing about, I'd suspect you would want something that offers a spectacular view and close proximity to city activity (Fox theater, Washington St, Soulard, Arch, Busch Stadium/Ballpark Village, Savvis Center, etc.).

We may want to sell one of our duplexes in the Rose Village neighborhood of Vancouver.

Warrendale / University / Rosemont (et all) English Village are some of the areas that are good and I invest in but there are others with no names that I know of and are just "North of X and S. of Y" etc....2.

A half block east of Rosewood, it does feel like and is a residential neighborhood).I personally live in Halteman Village -- which is just west of that property.

We stay away from South Linden, Bottoms, Hilltop, parts of Hungarian Village and parts of OTE.  

Mainly looking at the Encino, Tarzana, Valley Village, Studio City, and Woodland Hills neighborhoods.

@Ramzi Alldredge  I used to live in Montgomery Village.

This is a good thing since the property is almost an hour away from me.Another interesting thing about this house is that it's located on a street that is being completely repaved and redone thanks to The Villages.

Its expensive but in PDX we have appreciation and much better tenants=) 3- Check out the Rarebird Investor Network. 3 meetings a month at the Lucky Lab in Multnomah village.
