Hello, I am seeking expert advice on any (dis)advantages between two scenarios.Context: I am a full-time employee who works from home, I do not report to an office.My employer (HQ in Portland, OR) employs hundreds of employees who are either 'remote' or have assigned 'desk locations' throughout the country. 

Those Subs may be determined to be Employees under the State Workers Comp laws.  

But it does vary wildly - I work with a larger firm, we have in house professionals who focus 100% of their time on state and local tax / sales and use tax, various aspects of international, employee benefits, trusts, estates, gifts, etc, in addition to various industry focuses - and as a result we charge higher fees because there is a significant amount of very specialized knowledge floating around that is at our clients fingertips as they need it. 

I'm a co-host for medium term rentals and I pay my employees per hour for tasks like driving from one of the homes to the store, shopping for parts, etc. so I could see where the PM gets the charges.

This is something we're interested in providing for our company's employees including ourselves.

Plus for every 25 or 30 units you can hire an employee for the same cost as the property manager who will follow the policies and procedures that you trust because they made you successful.I'm a big believer in self managing.

Cities or HOAs have an employee or pay an outside person to look on Airbnb and Vrbo and see if they can rent your place for a shorter time.
