Hi Riley,I am not in Oregon but have a property called Rampart Reserve in Colorado that I have 4 tiny (120 square feet) cabins that I do STR in the summer.

We did Airbnb. 95% booked year round but low rates at $50-65 per room per night which was the gong rate in our neighborhood so with paying for cleaning and supplies we didn’t make much at all our first year.

We keep our house at 72 year-round.

But right now, i currently own a SF in KY and am house hacking a duplex in round rock Texas.

I’d recommend considering getting your feet wet with a smaller property to start 2-4 units and not maxing out your funds on your first property.
