I think I can open another personal checking account at the bank I already have and it'll be under my name but i'm trying to buy out of state rentals with an LLC I own.

Is your $15k even enough of an emergency fund for you personally?  

Also, do you have enough personal income coming in to cover the negative cash-flow that this deal will have along with the unexpected expenses that may come up? 

Personally, I would keep the property but I don't know your situation and if you could better use the money elsewhere.

Talk with the syndicate/Reit and your tax person.
