I've contacted 8 insurance companies/brokers and no one offers policies (issue being the subleasing).

Extended kitchen cabinets to ceiling to help look custom, changed all light fixtures, added cabinet hardware to cabinets, added accent walls, added swing to front porch.

I know nothing about ME law specifically but I assume that can be done in accordance with local customs… Either by obtaining a court-certified copy of the original easement and re-recording it with all of the required signatures OR recording a confirmatory deed of easement which spells out the error and corrects it by including everyone who should have signed the original.

There are a ton of qualified broker and lenders out there that can offer this product but be sure to receive the proper education when iyb comes to structuring the deal correctly.

Ben, I own an STR management company with 60+ doors as well as a broker that specializes in STR acquisitions. 

The vast majority of "regular" or traditional (Conv/Govt) mortgages are originated by specialty lenders and brokers and are sold in the secondary market to provide yield on bank balance sheets (think Chase or BoA) or to be securitized into MBS.

I look for a highly recommended mortgage broker and see what interest rates and mortgage products they have.
