Even if the property doesn’t work out it will help me to think about the process and solidify my ‘How can we do this’ mindset.

Is that something we would have to work out between us or is there an actual form we can fill out to make it legal and should I even do that?

Did it work out for those that were in a similar position as me?

I could work out the math on how that would look, but that isn't particularly aggressive.

It seems to me when I’m crunching the numbers that %10 to capital expenditures, 10% to a property manager,10% to routine maintenance, and then %10 to vacancy could all be eliminated with doing a rent to own to a resident.

But my opinion is this: If the numbers work out and you are not making a profit on house hacking or making very little profit on a house hack.

Deal was originally marketed back in 2018; I ran the numbers and they didn't work out at that time.

If you're going the umbrella insurance route, make sure it will cover you for several things including just the routine slip and fall (like mold or earthquake).
