I'd say the next level up would be something along the lines of starting a Fund of sorts and getting people to invest with you based on your ability to give them a sufficient return on their capital invested.Of course you would need a team of trust worthy peopel and laywers to materialize this venture.I agree also with Brian in thaty once you get to a certain level you focus more on wealtyh preservation and maybe take less risk as opposed to being aggressive when yoa re trying to build wealth and have time on your side IE. are much younger)Chris

If you see arrears taxes it would be a good indication that the current owner is either pocketing the rent and not reporting the income or even worse from your point of view not collecting sufficient rent to sustain his investment.
