I was alerted last night & got in touch with the HOA, who confirmed that the leak, regardless of where it originates, falls under my responsibility as homeowner.I’m out of state and severely disabled so I can’t check out the damage or repairs in person.

You don't have a solid plan yet but then are frustrated that your friends are slow to move forward.

@Brenda StueberWhen a property goes into bankruptcy, as a tenant you're still responsible for paying rent.

Thanks for the response I used that rule on the flip in question and it changed the numbers by 10,000.

She mumbled something, and that was that.I suspect she expected a different response from me.

@Peter Hightower , you, as the owner, are responsible for the HOA fees. 

But realize that a lack of a degree is going to slow down your career rise at least at 1st while you prove yourself.
