I always tell them you need to have support from home... real estate at least in the transactional side tends to be a late afternoon nights and weekends gig.. make sure your sig other understands and is on board.. you cant really do real estate 9 to 5 and no weekends.. well you can maybe if you go commercial.. but not resi.. 

You understood this when you signed the lease.

Because of this I opted out of putting something in the P&S regarding a signed lease with money held in escrow, etc.

Just got to sign some papers stating it's okay for them to prosecute whoever stole the meter if found.

The franchisor does not want residential real estate transaction run through the brand and I agree with that philosophy.However, I personally invest in residential rental properties and know I can easily grow a separate company that will handle residential real estate brokerage transactions and residential management assignments. 

Hello all,I have a four plex(Minnesota) that was signed this weekend, and inspection next weekend.

Once they leave I would put a big for rent sign outside so that the ex will know that they are gone and not start problems with the new tenants.Aggressively market the property and quickly get new tenants.

Maybe there is something else I am missing, as I am "too close" to the transaction, similar to the seller being too focused on the eviction as he lives next door to all the drama.
