I know many people here on BP suggest that I build a reputation first then start to ask for money but that would take me at least another year to have enough funds to do so on my own.

You will find out quick that just because you get a license does not mean any business will fall into your lap.Here on BP you will have to build a reputation of being the expert in your area.
