As our first SFR, the numbers don't look too attractive, but for a buy and hold scenario over the course of the next 5-10 years, the increased equity adds an additional incentive to buy.My question is: Is this just my perception, or could this be reality?

But, if you could buy it today for $150K and turn around and sell it tomorrow for $200K, then it's a good buy, I think.Some people say bad neighborhoods attract bad tenants.

If you're struggling to secure any interest than your unit is either not attractive to potential tenants, or not competitive.
