Dummy didn't let the glue dry/used the wrong glue/ used a nonfitting cap....just so you know for the future: **** happens, get used to it....just get rid of all the water/ anything that got destroyed, replace asap....don't make a big deal about it.

I assume there is more damage to studs such as rot but have no way of verifying other than replacing entire 4000sq ft roof.
