Yes, sharing our actual costs,  we need more housing but also letting people get past some of the big unknowns.

It could be permits or some issue with the contractors which could all add to your holding costs.

I definitely am more interested in the syndication route than flipping but I know house hacking could be another great route to go early on.Right now I am able to save a lot of money as I am still living at home, rent free, and my monthly expenses are very low (about $300). 

Nor does the cost of the property enter into the calculation.

Also, properties on the lake cost 3-4x per SF and have a major downside for Dec 1 - April 1 or so: they see a giant mud bowl out the window because the lake is drained.

But the management team was okay with sending out repair men like it's free, and failing to collect rents on time and making excuses.
