I do not think that is a good idea. you paid Income Tax and FICA based on $20.5K on schedule C, your net income probably only left $15K (15.3% self-Employee tax + 10%+ Income tax), and you can only contribute 20% of your net income as "Employee" to 401K, that is only $3000. even you can contribute another 20% as "Employer" contribution to 401K, then you need to maintain 2 separate 401K accounts.

Even with their $14k, $15k, $16k, etc... incentives, I was able to beat them out in the end.When we got to Lennar, it was a bit different and perhaps timing had a role to play here.

This does not necessarily mean they will not sell, but if it is in BK it would need to be approved by the trustee, and depending on the type of BK they filed and the size of the unsecured creditors the trustee would only allow it to sell to the public to get the best price because - they have to make sure they get what they can for unsecured creditors AND the trustee is paid based on what is sells for, so they will want it to sell for more.
