While multi-family is a perfectly good place to start, I would tell you that it is often more competitive than single family homes… maybe just due to there being less of them in general, and being more desirable by investors.  

However, as others have mentioned, they can be hard to find.It’s important to know that a financial advisor who works with real estate investors isn’t just there to pick stocks or sell products.

You could be creating unnecessary paperwork, headache, admin responsibilities, etc.This is more of a legal question, but typically I would think for a holding company you would want to list yourself as the manager of the holding company.

And to be clear, the rehab budget was $100,000.

@Beruk LessaneworkRecommend you first figure out the property Class you want to invest in, THEN figure out the corresponding location to invest in.If you apply Class A assumptions to a Class B or C purchase, your expectations won’t be met and it may be a financial disaster.If you buy/renovate a Class A property in Class D area, what quality of tenant will you get?
