I am considering getting a HELOC to pull 75-100k for a 25% downpayment on a rental property. 

Another big factor is which state the property is located. 

Half of my properties in the Smokies are under the vineyard category.

Hi all - my business partner and I have found a nice property we are interested in and are trying to decide between a conventional 30 year through our lender, or the owner financing offered by the owner, which is as follows: Price is $280k, would need to put 30% down and it would be amortized over 15 years at 1% below market rate.

I’m interested in purchasing a rental property and or properties if I can find the right deal.

I have been reading books on investing in multifamily and how to analyze and underwrite a property.

Class C properties.  

I'm looking to purchase my first property and set it up as an STR.
