You should ask the CPA what is expertise is regards to tax without even mentioning your tax profile.If he says he works with real estate investors, that is a good sign.You can then proceed to ask him a detailed question that was asked above.You may want to consider interviewing a CPA found on this messageboard.Good luck in your search for a CPA.

You should really be talking to an lawyer with expertise in that area of law who can review your particular situation.

You need the expertise to get in and out quick when using hard money.Also partnering with friends is almost never a good idea especially if they are learning on your dime.

Specifically looking for someone with expertise in real estate as well as things like stock options, grants, and backdoor IRA/mega backdoor.
