Hello and my question is,If my income was low , but I had access to funding.would I be able to put money in to a business I start up for my rental properties and claim it as business income or means of paying the mortgage in order to get approved for a loan or to refinance a property if i take the hard money lenders way of getting a house?

One of which is a 5 unit apartment building that I'm interested in.Buying any decently priced real estate in my area is a rare occurance to begin with, and finding even a duplex for sale is a once every 5 years thing.

Hi, Im looking to meet up with a BP member from the area for lunch to discuss the demographics of the area, I’m traveling to the Raleigh/Durham/Burlington/Greensboro area from November 4th through the 7th. for the purpose of research in the area for a place to possibly retire in the next few 3-5 years, I'm now investing in single family homes in the upstate NY area and plan on starting to investing in NC in multi-family/Apartment real estate.

It all seemed very shady and then I began thinking to myself.... what controls are in place to stop these inspectors from deciding an area is "not accessible" and pointing at "flaking paint" to drum up business for their friends and themselves?
