my dad just had a new well drilled for about 1,000. he only uses it for lawn irrigation as he gets county water for other purposes.not sure how deep they had to go (it's florida so water isnt too deep). as far as filtration systems, the water quality is pretty rough here in my neck of the woods. i have a sofener for my everyday water (showering, etc) and a RO (reverse osmosis) for potability. i'm a bit of a water conniseur. that's what i drink 99% of the time.i'd suggest ensuring a decent water system as bad water can really harm plumbing/piping.Good luck on tues!!!!

In Portland, OR I usually check with the county for property tax foreclosures...they typically hold their auctions once a year...depending on their inventory maybe more often. So I would check the county website for whatever city you are looking in...i'm sure there are multiple counties you can check...they will have a section for property tax auctions...and there should be someone you can call...they will probably put you on their mailing list and they will notify you when they are having sale...at least that is how it is done here in Portland.

Over in the next county the magistrate makes evicting LLs present their whole case EVEN WHEN THE EVICTEE IS A NO SHOW.When I appear I pull out a thick folder stuffed with papers making it look like I'm loaded for bear and prepared for anything. Also, make sure your cell phone is off, here in this county the sheriff will confiscate offending phones.I've been to court where the other side's father actually hired an attorney.

From what I have gathered (at least in Michigan) is that if you are going to be a Realtor and an investor, you have to be VERY careful about the deal....I don't want to raise any eyebrows and I am WAY to open about where I think people SHOULD and SHOULD NOT invest in this county (which I don't think realtors are allowed to do).

It's listed at 59k and the home is assessed at 115k through the county website. My question is two fold --If I take a loan out I'll probably have to go up to 80k which would make my payments roughly 500 a month.
