Steve T. , Not that I'm aware of.. but you may have a business plan on your hands..You could collect premiums from the human, then deny the claim because the animal was subject to undue influence if it didn't agree to the policy.Pretty standard insurance practice.

An LLC resolution enabling the LLC to manage property that is committed as a capital contribution (from a managing member's property) would be another solution, but again check with an attorney in your state. 

I have about a year and a half to commit to plussing up on my real estate investment knowledge as i finish my tour overseas.

Just make you you have an attorney glance through t to make sure there isn't anything that will get you in trouble.
