If the kitchen was only 8 years old and you did a $20k remodel on it, there's no way I'd expect that to add $20k in value.

I spent 12 years in a 3/2 SFH in Clairemont and enjoyed that too, nice neighborhood right next to a large remodeled and transformed strip mall with everything you need (Target, Home Depot, 12+ restaurants) and right off Balboa that turns into Garnet straight into PB.

I intend to remodel the property however since it won't be leased or owner occupied Im wondering if I have any options for pulling my money out of the property?

Either way new construction for rental property is generally a losing strategy because the cost to remodel old property (without major issues) is significantly less.

The side of the evicted tenant was pretty bad and they were heavy smokers so we had to pretty much remodel the entire side with new flooring, paint, and appliances. 

Speculates it was because property was rented out "as is" and tenant bore substantial remodeling costs.

Hi All,How much do you guys usually approximately pay for labor (not counting the material) to do a full interior remodel of a single wide 14x70 three bedroom mobile home?

The neighborhoods vary and most properties require significant rehab but hey also sell remodeled homes for owner occupants.

I added value by remodeling the whole place.
