What prevents your end buyer from waiting out your option period and going direct to your seller? 

He was not discussing a K-1 piggybacked on other rental properties owned directly, as you have.Syndicators have a vested interest to say yes, whether or not it is a good answer.

This is concerning syndications, and specifically directed to those that are truly open to making syndication investments (if you are adamantly opposed to syndications, I respectfully ask that do not reply, as much as I generally respect your opinions on if syndications are good or bad).I just returned from the Best Ever Conference.

If you are self managing you need to know where all the GFIs are and where the breakers are.

Can you self fund the rehab? 

Divide how much extra monthly rent the improvements may lead to into the $30k cost to determine how many months it will take to recoup the investment.
