We have started to make changes in our life in pursuit of financial independence, cleaning up our finances, educating ourselves, running the numbers, and now just have to pull the trigger on our first deal!

A good question to ask is do you want to have a financial life and career that look like theirs? 

My first and ongoing thought was “whoever owns these units hates life” once inside I saw it was basically bulletproof.

I love my place, location is amazing, and I'd like to keep it for the rest of my life.

I'm ready to achieve the ability to one day give back the things that have allowed me such a different life.

Still working out the details.Collateral assignment of life insurance has been around for a while, where a bank/lender uses a life insurance policy as collateral for a loan.

Probably minimal education, low income, no emergency fund, poor credit and/or in some sort of government assistance...for life because this is the USA and somehow people can do just that. 

Also when you say "I only want a blue car", and you ignore the hundreds of red and yellow cars that are available, you make life very hard for yourself.
