I'd say you have to interview them, just like they do you and make sure your personality is a good fit. 

Start taking classesRemember when you look for a brokerage to work with, you are interviewing them, not the other way around. 

@Samuel Smith when you go to school they will have a brokers night when different brokers come in for you to interview and just ask them that you want to also learn about investment properties and do they have someone at their brokerage that specializes in it that you can mentor with
