Generally will need to give them 2-3 months of bank statements so you don't want that transaction to be on any of them.

Even if the first time a person puts them out they don't get immediate results like you did, if the message is there on a regular basis, at some point the right person will see it at the right time and they will contact you.As for it being illegal in some areas, I know it's good to find out about that.
