And, like I said, the power company would even do basic checks for free.You could explain to your tenants that it will save them money in air conditioning, and it would also give you a good excuse to do a quick inspection at the same time.I'm no HVAC expert, but my experience with the above would lead me to believe that there would be no danger to damage with your units, if you turned them off in summer.

We plan on flipping the house and have offered to let her stay for 2 months to find a new place, move, etc, except every time we try to get her to sign a lease for that period she says she needs her lawyers to review it first and it ends up being one excuse after another.
