Ideally my brother and I would buy the property together and form an LLC and run as a business.However, my wife doesn't want to enter a "business" relationship with my brother, but instead suggests that we purchase the properties individually (since they are both on seperate deeds).

Austin like other markets has much to offer but you need to know what flavors you want.Anywhere close to Austin proper is very competitive and not ideal for cash flow.

Owner financing could be ideal, and if she is currently taking a loss, just giving her some positive cash flow a month would be a big improvement.
