Some of these new construction changes will include: requirements for beefier 2x6 walls that are thicker to provide more insulation depth, installing more attic insulation, installing tighter and more efficient HVAC systems and water heating equipment that may need to be certified by third-party Inspectors for compliance.

I would approach the Bldg Inspectors & see if a complete fire sprinkler system would suffice & negate the need for an external fire escape.

My inspector examined the attic in 3 places and found 3 places with big termite damage.Defeated, I decided against it and while in the yard my real estate agent checked for anything else in the area.

Heck, you might end up finding a bunch of city inspectors up your backside.Look, we try and treat people the way we would want to be treated, and it wouldn't happen again in January. 

The inspector said “this is the best taken care of four plex I’ve ever seen” even though water has leaked behind the siding and completely rotted the framing of an exterior wall of mine.

I put in contract that I would have a licensed inspector go in semi-annually to evaluate.

Perhaps a nice 1950's built bungalow.Always hire a 3rd party property inspector to give you an unbiased feel for the home.

We had our home inspector and also had our U&O Inspection’s (heat, chimney and electric).

Inspectors are a waste of time and money!
