Of course this would just be temporary, I don't plan on making this a long term residence for myself, but I figured this way is the easiest and saves myself money so I can save and make my next purchase.

It is one thing to have late payments on their credit, but a foreclosure will stick for a long time and is harder to bounce back from, emotionally as well as financially.
