I love your story of slow and steady learning before investing...the first purchase is always the most difficult - at least it was for me.

Just make sure you all really trust each other because if one person stops paying their share of the loan each month, then everyone else on the loan will still be just as responsible for paying it.

Being that it will be my first investment property, I need help in determining if there will any hidden costs I may not know about that I will be responsible if I become its new owner.

@Matt EngleThank you for response, my goal is to reach financial freedom In the shortest time possible by using real estate as an investment vehicle, having the ability to be flexible and live the life I want and be around my family as much as possible, support my parents/famil y and build a community in my native country of Zimbabwe.

I am working with a very thorough and precise mortgage broker and he asks for a ton of info and my TB's are slow to send it all of that stuff.
