I know that is a popular area to invest, relatively drivable for NJ, so you may want to add some of those cities to your Keyword searches.As you are getting started and looking at markets, especially if they are at a distance, keep in mind any connections you already have to that area. 

There is also a useful 'export to KML' feature that you can find by clicking the settings icon in the bottom right corner.I make Google mapping tools which let you view routes using animated street view among other features (see my profile).

USDA is a great tool

LLC's if you want them can be anywhere; Wyoming and Delaware are popular.

@Jenna Banaitis Contrary to popular belief the state doesn't end at Worcester LOL.

When you're new, you need tools, a work family, mentors (who know what they're doing - not people who just coach) and accountability.  

And the accounting integration it uses, rei hub I think, is kind of expensive so I use a separate accounting tool FreshBooks.

In smaller less popular towns it may not make a difference and you may not have a lot of competition, but right now in the bigger cities, the markets are on fire.So my suggestion would be to set yourself up for success between now and then where you can qualify for conventional.   

Looking to purchase second home in one of these locations but I having a tough time picking one ultimatelymy decision is going to based on my COC-ROI and rental property popularity based on my research the numbers are leaning towards the cape.
