Then if you take the time to actually locate it you might find out it's really in a much better neighborhood, that the agent entered the wrong map number, you can lowball them to get a deal.

I went to go look at a flip once in a "transitioning" neighborhood.... didn't take long for a crazy guy to come approach my realtor and explain in great length and detail how he'd burn the building down if we bought it.

The only other option would have been to rent it as a STR and for us personally that doesn't fit our current business model and we don't want to do it. 

We both love our neighborhood we are in now but unfortunately that would force us to send our oldest to a less desirable school. 

I'm trying to figure out where my current knowledge would best fit for now while I learn new things.
