Welcome Roland,I am brand new to the NOVA area and just read this morning that Money Magazine voted Reston as one of the best cities to live in. 

Even though I have been involved in R.E. for more than 25 years, (mostly finer uppers, buy and hold, short & long term rentals), "notes" were a brand new area for me.

Local banks or credit unions normally more flexible than national brands and they also understand the local market and demands better.  

Is it all about square footage or make your rooms even sizes (12x12 or 11 x 12)  can I get tax credits for building a low E house and if so how do I get them.Thanks

Hi All,I'm still in the hunt for my first B&H property and have my eye on a homepath SFR in an up and coming area in Kingston, NY.I finally got in touch with the Realtor and she let me know, by e-mail, that there is already an offer on the property and is being negotiated.My question is, and the answer may be obvious, but is there a chance that I can still get an offer in and what is everyone's experience in this situation?  

I have narrowed my bids down to two, one includes a Coleman brand AC unit the other Carrier unit.
