Just attend some showings as if you were interested in renting...I'm not saying you need to apply, and I would not suggest you waste a lot of other peoples time, but you can do a quick walk through, ask a few pointed questions, and get a feel for what is being offered in the area, and the price.

If you use peel 'n stick tiles or sheet vinyl, you may get a better look, but ONE wrong move and the floor is trash.A similar trick with carpeting was that rather than the typical beige or brown solid color, we used a carpet with a variegated color and rather long nap.

If you are buying and then hoping to sell after taking title you likely have more costs so need more of a margin.What does then to happen is someone finding a solid deal but they want to milk it for everything it is worth.

Others get stuffed with a bad deal they can not unload, time wasted and cash lost.You did not say a lot about the actual deal and if you have buyers waiting in the wings.
