I was speaking for a 401k in general terms while also referencing the Roth 401k variant without clarifying that I was not talking about a Roth IRA, which is usually referred to as just a "Roth" in most situations.  

If you were referring a buyer to the listing agent, then it would make sense to ask for a referral.
