Hi BP members,My partner and I are starting out on our investment journey, focusing specifically on deals in Greenville, NC at the moment.

For years I focused on working with agents who actually own rentals and understand that side bit more. 

As you're building your credit, you'll need a team and essentially it starts with a few key folks: (1) attorney who is focused on real estate (2) property manager.

It takes time and focus.  

What value do I bring to the table for them to focus on me more and make the extra effort? 

And if you can find a deal that would make a good flip why not BRRR it and add it to your portfolio.Only you can say whether or not it is a good call for you but I always feel I will do better focused on a single goal rather than spreading myself over several.

Where else should I focus my energy to get the word out? 

@Naeem BarbourIt's a pretty loaded question, but a simple answer would be that a "good deal" is a property that meets your purchase criteria.So as the first step, I would focus on figuring out:What are your goals with real estate?

@Yash BajpaiHi Yash,I would try to focus on smaller community banks that like to lend on multifamily deals.  

Those starting out typically focus on rentals as it's easier to break into and find clients.
