Here's where I've gotten so far:As you type @Name - do it slowly and watch carefully as you type for the BP user's profile picture and name to appear just below the text box (where there is typically a [Follow Topic] button) .

I see the nearly 30 long minute video and think "Oh man, this is gonna be a guy that goes on and on and on" where as if you were to do shorter videos, 5-7 minutes long, I can skip around probably watch just as much, and more easily find the snippets that really stuck out with me.

Currently I'm doing research online by reading or watching online videos.

What are the major pitfalls to watch out for?

Do yourself a huge favor find a good mentor, watch them produce find a sweet spot that they operate in.  

Also, do more research, read the articles, watch podcasts etc. to determine exactly what YOU want to buy, then it'll help make the search process easier.
