I think the market will be moving back towards tiny homes... so, sounds good to me.. seniors may really appreciate it and people starting out... with the boomers aging and the millennials looking for first home seems like a strong potential market.

as u know, its OUTRAGEOUS for many homes here in FL.my one rental is in flood zone A (aka flood zone 'get the hell outta here') and is required by my mortgage company. the first year i lived in the home my insurance was about $4k. we are talking about an 1100 sq ft home that is elevated (bottom is garage and then 2 stories of living space).fortunately, citizens started writing hazard and wind together so now i just have a hazard/wind policy for about $600 (no contents since i dont live there) and my flood at about $1000. craziness!

If it's a big one, like a petro refininery, you can get insurance.I have only heard of one issue that went to court over this issue after a certification had been given, and it was with our state environmental bunch and concerned citizens.

It would also bring a lot of wealthy new citizen to this country who can buy there own health insurance and create wealth and jobs.It will be a lot less expensive to bail out FDIC, Fannie, Freddie, VA, FHA by using tax credits to support the housing market than taking over lenders and MBS etc.
